DRUMLINE

WGI WORLD CHAMPHIONSHIPS - 4th Place!!!!

Congratulations to the drumline for a tremendous week at World Championships.  This was our first trip to this event, and we made a lasting impression.  We have been up and down with the scores all year, but we believed in the show, and performed two great shows - and one awesome show in finals!  Their hard work paid off at the biggest competition of the year, and they have set a huge standard of excellence for future Aliso drumlines to match.  Great Job!

In the Spring, the percussionists in marching band perform a show and compete against other high schools.  They consist of the battery (marching percussion) and the pit (immovable instruments such as marimbas, timpani, etc.).  During this season, the drumline choreograph a show that contains original music, marching, and often tell a story.

This is the 4th year of the drumline's existence at Aliso Niguel High School.  Last year's accomplishments include a 4th place at the Southern California Percussion Alliance Championships, and a silver medal at the WGI western regional.  They have developed into one of the top groups in the nation  in the Scholastic A division.

This year's show is entitled "Show Business."  They will compete at all SCPA shows as well as the WGI Southern California Regional and WGI Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
